The universal cutting frame in horizontal orientation is being used
with a 90° V-cutter to mill the recess in the
columns that will frame the tower section. This results in a cross-section for the columns
that is 3/4 of a whole
column and allows the column to sit over the corner of the tower and appear to be imbedded
into the tower.
