The Universal Cutting Frame

The Universal Cutting Frame is oriented with the cutter rotating in a vertical plane. The index plate on the left is locked in place by the spring-loaded detent. A pattern of cuts is being placed on the workpiece with a 0.100" square cutter. The pattern is a gentle spiral of 12 cuts around the circumference, effected by shifting the starting point of each layer of cuts on the index plate by 2 holes on the 144-hole circle.
